ABOUT US
Royal Flush Cavaliers® is an established Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeder based in Massachusetts, serving families throughout New England, Florida, and across the United States. Founded in 1990 by Christine Vitolo, our breeding program has more than 35 years of experience dedicated exclusively to Cavaliers, with a focus on health, temperament, responsible breeding, and raising well-socialized puppies in a home environment.
Christine is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed specialist, multi-published author, educator, mentor, and owner of RFC®. Her extensive hands-on experience with generations of Cavaliers extends beyond breeding to health education, breeder mentorship, community initiatives, media, publishing, and the development of breed-specific programs and resources.
She is the author of the Amazon #1 bestsellers The Complete Cavalier Compendium and Knox and Charlie Go to England, along with several additional Cavalier-focused books for adults and children. She also created the Cavs, Coffee & Cocktails™ podcast and has developed multiple breed-centered brands, educational projects, and programs.
Through the Cradle to Crown™ Mentorship Program, Christine shares her knowledge and experience with aspiring and developing breeders while encouraging responsible breeding, collaboration, and continued learning. She also created Cover Girl Cavaliers™, a canine modeling and animal-acting program. Cavaliers from Royal Flush have appeared in national campaigns for TJ Maxx/HomeGoods and in productions associated with Animal Planet and the Puppy Bowl.
Christine also played a key professional role in the development of Cavalier Care Connect™, an all-in-one health and wellness platform created specifically for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and their owners. Developed with veterinary input, the platform brings together breed-specific health, wellness, care, and educational information to provide Cavalier owners with a centralized resource throughout their dogs' lives.
Beyond her work with Cavaliers, Christine is an experienced real estate investor with a background in interior design and property staging. Her work has included the renovation and transformation of residential properties, combining design expertise with market insight to improve both function and value.
Across breeding, education, mentorship, publishing, media, program development, real estate, and design, Christine's work reflects a focus on experience, innovation, and the development of resources and projects intended to provide lasting value.

Royal Flush Cavaliers has grown into more than a breeding program. Our goal has always been to create an engaging, informative, and supportive experience for the families who share our love of Cavaliers. That vision inspired the creation of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Society Est 2020™, along with additional resources and projects that bring Cavalier owners and enthusiasts together.
Our website extends that experience with carefully selected resources for both new and experienced Cavalier owners. Through our Supplies & Care page and Amazon storefront, families can explore products we personally use, recommend, or simply enjoy, including puppy essentials, grooming and care items, toys, accessories, and other products for life with a Cavalier.
Just as important are the relationships we have developed with our families, fellow breeders, veterinary professionals, and others within the Cavalier community. Many of these relationships have continued for years and even across generations of dogs, creating a network built around a shared appreciation for the breed.

You may notice different addresses associated with Royal Flush Cavaliers® over the years. This reflects the way our family divides its time between New England and Florida, as well as our long history of purchasing, renovating, and selling residential properties.
Our involvement in real estate began in 1997, when our father gave her $1,000 toward the purchase of our first property. Since then, we have acquired and renovated more than 400 properties. Depending on the scope of a project, we may live in a property while completing renovations before selling it and moving on to the next. As a result, our physical address has changed over time and may differ depending on where we are working or residing.
Our connection to Florida also includes Christine's brother, David, who operates his own full-time Cavalier breeding program in St. Augustine. Born in 1985, David has been surrounded by Cavaliers since Royal Flush Cavaliers began in 1990 and has spent most of his life with the breed. While our physical locations have changed, Royal Flush Cavaliers' website, email address, and phone number have always remained the same, providing families with established ways to contact us regardless of where we are at a particular time.

HOW WE OPERATE WITH COMPASSION AND WITHOUT COMPROMISE
Maintaining a multi-generational breeding program requires planning for both the present and the future. Preserving established bloodlines often means retaining promising puppies from younger generations while their parents and other relatives remain part of the program. Rather than keeping a growing number of Cavaliers together in a traditional breeding environment, we developed an approach that allows us to maintain and develop our bloodlines while prioritizing life as a family companion.
More than two decades ago, we created our In-a-Home Breeding Program™, an approach that allows select Cavaliers to participate in our breeding program while living with their own families. Prospective breeding dogs are placed as puppies with carefully selected participating families, many of whom are established Royal Flush Cavaliers clients. They grow up in their family homes and remain an important part of those families throughout their lives.
When appropriate and once they reach breeding age, participating females return to Royal Flush Cavaliers for breeding and whelping. After raising their puppies, they return to their families. Dogs living permanently in our own home are our personal companions, along with occasional Cavaliers who may temporarily come into our care when additional support or rehabilitation is needed.
The In-a-Home Breeding Program™ allows us to preserve generations of Royal Flush Cavaliers bloodlines without requiring every dog in the program to live at one location. Most importantly, it allows participating Cavaliers to spend their lives where we believe they belong, as cherished family companions.

HOW THE ROYAL FLUSH CAVALIERS IN-A-HOME BREEDING PROGRAM™ WORKS
PLEASE NOTE: Dogs purchased from Royal Flush Cavaliers are not part of this program. Participation is offered only to select past clients, and participating dogs are placed at no purchase cost under a separate written agreement.
Royal Flush Cavaliers identifies select puppies that we may wish to retain for the future of our breeding program. When appropriate puppies are selected, we invite our past clients to participate in the In a Home Breeding Program™. The puppy is placed with that family to live as their companion while Royal Flush Cavaliers retains specified breeding rights for the period outlined in the agreement.
FEMALES: Participating females are typically placed under an agreement for only one or two litters during their lifetime. Once they reach an appropriate breeding age and are selected for breeding, they return to Royal Flush Cavaliers for breeding and later for the birth and raising of their puppies. After their puppies are raised, the mother returns to her family.
MALES: Participating males are generally placed under annual agreements because their role does not involve pregnancy, whelping, or raising a litter. When a male is needed for stud service, he returns to Royal Flush Cavaliers temporarily and generally goes back to his family within a day or two.
Once the family's contractual commitment has been completed, there is no further breeding obligation under the program.
We are grateful to the families who participate in the In a Home Breeding Program™. Their involvement allows us to retain access to carefully selected dogs and established bloodlines while those Cavaliers live primarily as family companions. Participating families also provide us with valuable long-term knowledge about each dog's health, development, temperament, and everyday life.
