My name is Christine, and for over 30 years, I’ve been devoted to the world of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. My passion for this breed runs deep—from breeding generations of Cavaliers and collaborating with breeders of all experience levels to launching Cavalier-exclusive ventures. I’ve trademarked multiple brands, built a dedicated Cavalier-inspired online store, and founded the Cavs, Coffee & Cocktails™ podcast on Spotify. I've also served as an expert contributor to a national Cavalier handbook and authored a collection of books, including Cavalier-focused books for both adults and children. I'm proud to have earned Amazon #1 Best Seller titles across both categories, with all titles available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
In 2024, I launched Covergirl Cavaliers™, a modeling venture that showcases our adorable Cavaliers — one of whom is proudly featured in HomeGoods stores nationwide. We’ll soon unveil The Crowned Companions Club™, an exclusive resource designed for our cherished clients and Cavalier lovers everywhere. We’re constantly evolving — driven by innovation and a commitment to enhancing the Cavalier experience for both new owners and lifelong admirers. Our website offers a wealth of valuable resources, and we welcome all inquiries.
Health and Helping Establish the Meaning of a Good Breeder
Education is a cornerstone of our mission. With a deep understanding of the breed’s unique aging challenges, I’m often asked for health-related guidance. Cavaliers, while beautiful and loving, are prone to inherited conditions including cardiac and neurological issues. With proper care, many Cavaliers live long, happy lives; however, it's statistically rare for older Cavaliers to be entirely free of murmurs or MVD. If such claims are made, it’s entirely reasonable to request verification from both a licensed veterinarian and board-certified cardiologist.
It’s also important to understand that a health certification only reflects a dog’s health at the time of testing. What matters just as much is the breeder’s health guarantee and their transparency about long-term support.
Experience Matters — And It's Verifiable
If you're ever uncertain about how long a breeder has truly been active, ask to see the AKC registration papers for their foundation dogs. These documents are straightforward and date-stamped—proof that speaks louder than claims. Though some may exaggerate their experience, the American Kennel Club's records clearly indicate when a breeder's program began..
At Royal Flush Cavaliers, we’re proud of our beginnings. Like many who entered the breed before recognition, we spent years learning, working with Cavaliers, and striving to build something meaningful. Gaining access to AKC registration wasn’t easy back then, but we were fortunate to connect with legendary mentors like Margie Riccomini.
Margie was a respected name in the Cavalier community—an established Westminster exhibitor, educator, and steward of the breed’s traditional British standard. She imported elite lines from the UK and collaborated with other top breeders to champion education around health, structure, and ethical breeding practices. Over time, we were able to acquire our own registered dogs and establish a strong foundation. One of our early Champion-sired studs came directly from Margie’s lines, and we were honored to work closely with her for many years. The bloodlines she helped us incorporate were not only beautiful and well-structured but also deeply rooted in health and sound temperament.
I’ll always be grateful for Margie’s generosity, mentorship, and the role she played in shaping our program. Her legacy lives on in our Cavaliers and in our continued commitment to doing things the right way—through patience, integrity, and collaboration.
Good Breeding, Not Gossip
We are often asked for commentary on other breeders. While we offer educational guidance, we will not participate in gossip, attacks, or critiques of other breeders. But here's what we do encourage: look for consistency, contribution, and collaboration.
You will never be criticized by someone doing more than you—only by those doing less.
In the absence of true achievement, some individuals fall back on projection, gossip, and criticism to gain perceived credibility. When a breeder with little to show suddenly claims concern about another’s program, it's typically not about ethics—it's about envy. These attacks are often thinly veiled confessions, designed to redirect attention. But excellence doesn’t attack; it simply is.
Leading by Example
At Royal Flush Cavaliers, we don’t believe in tearing others down to lift ourselves up. Our focus is on mentorship, education, and improving the breed as a whole. We work hand-in-hand with fellow breeders, veterinary professionals, and clients who value transparency and long-term relationships. Whether through our health resources, books, podcast, or one-on-one guidance, our goal is to uplift the breed—and the people who love it.
Our Promise to You
We stand for clarity, not confusion; support, not smear campaigns; and meaningful substance over empty spectacle. Our health guarantees are unconditional— meaning no gimmicks, forced purchases or affiliate-driven strings attached. Anything we recommend is optional and comes from experience, not financial incentives. We stand behind our dogs and behind you.
These days, my time is dedicated to occasional litters from carefully maintained lines, authoring both canine and human-centered wellness content, mentoring new breeders, consulting, and collaborating with professionals who share my passion for purpose-driven work. From Boston to Beverly Hills and beyond, whether you're looking for a puppy, expert guidance, or just a community rooted in kindness and clarity, we’re here for you.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
